| This fault was added in the 2007 maps. Two trenches exposed evidence of four surface ruptures at approximately 14 ka (0.1 m vertical offset), 32 ka (0.3 m), 77 ka (0.55 m), and 151 ka (0.2 m; McCalpin and Harrison, 2000). These data imply a vertical slip rate of 0.0069 mm/yr for the three earthquakes that released strain that had accumulated between 151 ka and 14 ka. McCalpin and Harrison calculated a much faster, long-term slip rate of 0.027-0.054 mm/yr from a 27 m high scarp on a 0.5-1.0 Ma surface that is not considered in our preferred vertical slip rate. |
